A walk in the park.

I decided that today I would take the bus home from work.

Sadly that was a bad Idea.

Turns out today is Sunday. There are no busses. Well, until an hour after I get off work.

So I take that bus and wind up at the downtown terminal, only to find my bus I need to transfer to wont arrive for another 45 minutes.

I ended up walking home. 16 blocks in -33 weather.

My toes still feel numb.

Stupid toes. But I think my carrots did not freeze. wooo.

(the bus still will not have gotten to the terminal at the time of posting this)

CFL Madness

I purchased CFL Lights.

A while ago I decided to try out these new Compact Fluorescent Lights. I hate florescent fights. As a general rule they hurt my eyes. 

But they were new, interesting and for some reason people think they are better for the environment.

I dont especially care about the environment. But that is another story.

I put one in the hallway. Which is fine as it performs the function as intended. I put one in a closet. Yes a closet. And for all intents and purposes it also too worked. I then placed one in the kitchen.

 However when I tried to place two in my double socket thingy in my room I noticed only one would actually work. stupid lights.

The major complaint, other then harsh glare induced headaches, is the lag time. I can  flip the switch and walk across the room before the light turns on.  The one in the closet can take up to 15 seconds.

The one in my bedroom however has started flickering. Randomly. Sometimes it annoys me to no end and the only way I can fix it is to take out the light, and shake it.

I blame it on the ballasts. Florescent lights require high voltages so there is a short time that is required to achieve that voltage. 

Maybe the technology has improved.

I miss my incandescent.

I should try LED.

After The Math

So. I get my car. The battery is once again dead so I need a boost simply to open the trunk to get the tire. Which is fine, we start the car, swap out the tire and pack things up. Problem: the trunk no longer closes. It seems to be hitting something a lot more solid then is in the trunk, so I am confused. Currently it is held closed with some straps I had lying around.

The dentist says I grind my teeth. Plus I have some cavities. However for some reason are impressed by my ability to brush.

I get to spend more moneys I dont have. wooo.

The suite my sister was looking at fell apart. They looked at it, but when it came to actually fill out an application we were told that th renovations were not going to be done on schedule so it was not open for applications until mid February. Also the rent was going to go up. And of course this was after we talked to them to arrange to look at and fill out an application.

it was a nice place. I think.

My math skills do suck. and I am falling behind on some of my assignments. They all seem to be using math. 

Why? dunno.

I work tonight.

But on a slightly lighter note,  Jonney something monster killer is a horrible movie.

I am tired. plus I think I fail to see the point in waiting 10 minutes in -30 weather for a bus. I may as well walk.

So, my car has been impounded.

In another attempt by the universe to amuse and befuddle, my car has been impounded. Not a surprise move my any stretch of the imagination, but a slight irritant none the less.

It possibly has some amusing story behind it, but as always I was being lazy paying the registration fee so it was sitting under a pile of snow for the past few weeks. I don’t know when the plates expired, but normally I have about a week before I get a ticket. This time no ticket came. Possibly it had expired long before I thought.

And to further complicate things my tire is still flat. Unless for some reason I cannot yet fathom the impound people fix the tire.

Which would be nice and accomplish the task of befuddlement.

But sometimes if not always the universe settles for amusement. Usually it’s own.

But this is something I shall worry about tomorrow.

Because as they say, tomorrow is another day.

My sister may also be looking at a suite that my other sister thinks we should move into. I cannot see such a suite because of academic obligations. I heard pictures would be taken.

If this works then I will be moving out. Then my roommate would have to deal with things.

I would have to pack things up. It is way too messy for that.

And I need a reference. Sigh.

To be fair not every evil robot are killers.

I recently watched 2001 a space odyssey, I dont remember it being so boring. There are no good quotes. Even the one everyone attributes to the movie does not exist.

Of the species series, I only like 3 and 4.

The saint is a good movie. Go watch it now.

I am attempting to watch the series. So far it is boring.

Donnie Darko was an intersting movie. 

Most people would hate The Man From Earth.

I dont know if I have watched much else. Life boring. My sisters are finding me an appartement. Shool is boring, but keeping me way to busy. Chocolate is still boring.

I have been watching a few movies lately. Attached are some of the more note worthy quotes. If you googled them I bet you could figure out what I have been watching. (for lack of numbers I have included more than one quote per movie) and yes, I am lazy and copied them all from imdb.

Appologetic Puppies

I have been keeping odd hours lately. I have 1,3,7 and most of 5 in a cup above my computer. I have yet to decide if I am going to work on the 24 hour clock, if so I will have to also collect 13 through 23 not to mention finding 9, 11 and the rest of 5.

Because I have been working nights on the weekends and going to school during the weekdays. I used to have to shift my sleep schedule by around 12 hours.

But no more.

For some reason, as all reasons are, I have found myself sleeping during the day and waking at night.

Now the shift is but a mere 3 hours (ish).

It’s like I must get up early for work.

But 5 hours early for school.
